GROWING THE APPRENTICE PROGRAM The good news is we are continuing to grow. The three young men you see below are the 2012 additions to the Suburban Mfg. Co., Apprentice Program. First is Glenn Black, a graduate from Eastlake High School, Glen said "it is so cool, so fascinating, so interesting to see what you can make out of a piece of metal." Larry Davison, Jr. in the middle photo, also an Eastlake High Graduate said he started here part time to make some money, now he can't pass up the opportunity to be part of the apprentice program. On the bottom, Terry Grice, a Kirtland High School graduate and soon to be Penn College graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering said, "I am so psyched to be part of this program, I love it. I have always been passionate about machining and this is a perfect fit."
Bob Wason, senior machining specialist and previous graduate of Suburban's Apprentice Program said, " we didn't have the opportunities for all of the technology when we went through this program in the 80's. Now that Suburban is an ESOP these men have the whole world ahead of them and we are counting on them to do a good job for all of our futures. The Apprentice Program is a great way to learn and build a career as a machinist."
